This seminar is part of the Westminster Media Forum Creative
Industries Seminar Series. It will look at the future for the games industry in
the UK, with sessions included on the challenging economics of game
development, the role of government in supporting the sector as well as
emerging options for the industry to exploit new revenue streams.
Planned sessions examine how the games industry - comprising
a highly skilled workforce and claimed to be contributing more to UK GDP than
both film and music - can be taken more seriously as a leading force in the
digital economy and how to ensure the next generation of developers and
programmers are delivered by schools, colleges and universities.
