Exploring The Rhythms Of Writing Practice in Art, Design
& Performance
Arnolfini, 16 Narrow Quay, Bristol BS1 4QA
30 March 2012
This day conference offers a group of workshops and talks
exploring the rhythms of writing practice in art, design and performance and
address new areas of public engagement through situating writing beyond the
limits of the academic institution.
In the week before the event, you will have the chance to
participate in a Manifesto of Writing Practice, which can be accessed by
visiting Arnolfini, but also through electronic social networking on twitter
and facebook.
2012 is the 10 year anniversary of the Writing-PAD Project
and 5 years since the foundation of the Journal of Writing in Creative Practice
(JWCP) and since the project became the self-funded Writing-PAD Network.
The purpose for this participative wall of statements is to
publish the purposes and possibilities of writing practice for artists,
designers and performers. Give them your dreams, desires and hopes for what
writing practice can, could, or should be in 140 characters, or go and write
or draw on the wall in the gallery.
